Attaignant, Moderne

Just to say that Pierre Attaignant was not a composer
but a french music editor that did collect a lot of
chansons and danses
and published them around 1500-1550 ( i forgot)
While he worked in Paris, Jacques Moderne worked at the
same period in Lyon, he was in fact an italian from Firenze.

There are two excellent CDs at Astree by a french renaissance
group "Doulce Memoire" conducted by Denis Raisin-Dadre :
- one of 1995 of Attaignant chansons and other instrumental pieces
- one of 1996 of Moderne "Fricassees lyonnaise"

I would recommand the first one, where you can also listen to very
good cornetto performance (William Dangois).

I think there is no harp in these 2 CDs...
