Sunlight can ruin a finish and reek havock with tuning. Also it can dry
out the surface of the wood in such a way that it will check (crack),
However the real danger is in heat. Glues used in wood working break down
at higher temperatures, so a wooden object holding a great deal of tension
(strings) that is over heated is likely to fail. Advice - never (thats
NEVER) leave a harp in a car in the sun.
