If you get really desperate, perhaps a cross country moving company
could recommend a packer/crater who could build a suitable crate. This would
not solve the problem of toting the harp around short distances at your
destination. Lyon and Healy sell covers that might protect your harp from
scratches but are not a custom fit...Little Orphan (Harpie) Annie.
I am amazed at what one can find at a rental store. Maybe some big
case...
What about an appliance box from the local appliance store, lots of
bubble rap and/or styrofoam peanuts, blankets...
Is there a university music department, community orchestra or harpist
locally who may be a source for cases?
