Good discussion on strathspey form, folks.=20

I don't have a dictionary definition in front of me, but the strathspey=20
is played in 4/4 time, and it is distinguished by its pointed, dotted=20
rhythm. Strathspeys should lift along. I play them in faily moderate=20
time, with plenty of accentuation.

I'm interested in the 1653 reference, because its very name indicates to=20
me that the strathspey belongs in the northeast of Scotland. Where DID=20
the king dance?
