*sigh* Depends. I consider it all to be mutilation, but neutering/spaying
isn't as bad for a few reasons: 1. The cat only takes a couple of days to
recoup from neutering, and it's somthing that humans have done to
themselves also. 2. The feline population - especially the stray feline
population - has gotten out of hand. There are too many cats and not
enough people to take care of them. Preventing your cats from breeding is
usually a good thing. And believe me, any uncut female cat in heat _will_
be bred if it is _at_all_ possible - for either the male or female to get
to the other... 3. There is no alternative. If you could give them a
pill, I'd prefer it. You CAN clip cats' toenails - and, for most indoor
cats, it's adviseable - provided you NEVER clip the pink part (the
quick), it's not painful - just like cutting your own nails, it only
hurts if you get the part that's too close (you can see the quick by
holding the claw out against light - the pink line in it? That's it. :)
Your local ASPCA will tell you all about it. :)

Yep. :) If you start it when they're kittens, along with brushing them,
they'll grow up allowing - even asking for it sometimes. :) My cats LOVE
to be brushed - they'll pick it up by the bristles and drop it in front
of me "mommy, brush me, brush me.." They think I'm their mother. :)
