For a Renaissance wedding, I'm playing out of Deborah Friou's "Early
Music for the Harp" and I love it! So far I've learned "Au renouvel du
tens" which I'll use for entrance, though the bride's march will be
"Lauda" from Kim Robertson's "Wind Shadows" book. I've also learned
"Winder wie is (Bar)" which, though the book doesn't mention it, has
words, in case anyone is interested. They're in German, of course, but
I have the translation as well. This book is chock full of great music
that is relatively simple, yet elegantly beautiful. 44 songs.

For a Renaissance Scottish wedding, I'd also recommend Cynthia
Crawford's "Castle and Court Music from Scotland" which is a translation
of the Rowallen and Straloch lute manuscripts, approximately 1700-1750.
This is not available in stores. If anyone wants ordering details,
e-mail me. 37 songs. I'm using "I long for the wedding", "I long for
thy virginitie", and "I never knew I loved thee" all three of which are
beautiful songs appropriate for a wedding, in my opinion. The second I
learned for humor, but it does sound nice, and I doubt anyone will even
ask the title.

There is also "Ballads and Court Dances of the 16th and 17th Centuries"
subtitled "Selections from the recording _Renaissance Muse_ for
non-pedal and pedal harp" which makes me think I ought to get this
recording, since I find it easier to learn a song if I've heard it
before. 10 of the songs in here are also in "Castle and Court" 25
songs.
