Actually, you might discover that you HAVE heard it, just didn't know what it
was. It's played EVERYWHERE, including on TV every time they show a man in a
kilt. If you can play MIDI, you can hear it (or if you have a sound card and
the proper software incl. Netscape 2.01 you can download "Crescendo" to hear
it) at:
http://www.epix.net/~lesley/folk.html
Which is a folk music MIDI page with lots of other good stuff. If you don't
have "Crescendo" and need it, you can go there, download it, install it, turn
off your Netscape, turn it back on, then go back and hear the tunes they have
listed. Known facts are also displayed, along with the lyrics.
Another option is Digital Tradition. I would be amazed if they didn't have
both lyrics and a sound clip there, but it takes awhile to download the sound
clips and I usually find it too frustrating to be worth it. On the other
hand, if you really need to hear something it's a good source.
