I think you'll enjoy Martha Kuch's harp workshop. I met her when I
was in MI in '91, and she's really great. She's very empathetic and
supportive. (Please, if you remember, tell her hi for Ben Brown's friend
Ruth from CA.)
Harp circles are not all allike, but I've never been to a bad one.
If it's in a workshop format, often the presenter will do something like
teach a certain bass pattern, or a certain relatively simple song. If it's
a cooperative-entertainment one, often they'll go around the circle and ask
each person who feels up to it to play soemthing for the group.
