Mark it down by ear (not something to sigh about) - you will be a better
harper for making up your own arrangement, and for being able to listen
to something and play it for yourself. That way you aren't reliant on
someone else's sheet music, someone else's arrangment, and that darn
music stand being in your way. (My answer to the question about
where to put the music stand so it isn't in the way is: in the garage!)

Go for it, forget the sheet music!

Thanks, Deb. You are so right! Several months ago I started arranging
three tunes for the Loon Mountain competition in September. I think
they're done. They're not long, not complex, but I figured them out myself
with suggestions here and there from friends. I can't believe how much
I have learned in the process and how much fun it has been. My only
problem is the dozens of tunes I want to work on next (including
Braveheart). So many tunes; so little time. Cam MacRae
