This is a great thing to do, and I encourage everyone to try to get
out and play in nursing homes/hospitals once in a while. I still do
this when I can, it's a great way to break in new pieces! Believe me,
everyone there will love it even if you don't think you are playing
perfectly, and it gets you used to playing in front of an audience.
Check with your local harp society for where & when you might avail
yourself of this opportunity, and if your harp society doesn't
coordinate a program like this, then start one!
